Stages Of A NUCLEAR BOMB BLAST
When a nuclear bomb is dropped, its effects are seen in six stages.
Stage 1: A Flash Of Light
A flash of light so bright, people living 80 km away, will be temporarily blind. It's better to close one's eyes then.
Stage 2: A Heatwave
In a radius of 8 km, people will get third-degree burns. Almost 100% chance of dying. For these calculations, I'm using the example of 1 megaton bomb.
Stage 3: Release Of Nuclear Radiation
Stage 4: A Visible Fireball
Stage 5: The Sound Of The Explosion
And The Most Deadly Stage 6: Radioactive Fallout
It can take from a few minutes to a few hours after the explosion. It means that, radioactive particles will drop from the sky like sand. This can lead to Radiation Poisoning. It'll be deadly.
The best-case scenario is if you're 60-70 km away from the epicenter of the blast. You can take shelter among thick concrete walls.
