Differentiate between Breathing and Respiration
1.Breathing
. The process of inhaling oxygen and exhaling the carbon dioxide by the lungs is known as breathing.
. Breathing takes place in lungs.
. There is no energy production during this process.
. Breathing occurs outside the cells, and so it is an extracellular process.
. No enzymes are used while breathing.
. It takes place through the respiratory organs like nose, lungs, etc.
. The process where the energy is produced by breaking down the glucose and the energy is used by cell to carry variouse cellular work.
. Respiration occurs in cell.
. In respiration energy is released in the form of 'ATP' (Adenosine triphosephate).
. Respiration occurs inside the cells so it is an intercellular process.
. Many enzymes play an important role durring this process.
Respiration takes in each cell of the body of an organism, especially in organelles like mitochondria, etc.
